Halfweg, is the Dutch village where her grandfather, who comes from Suriname, lived for much of his life. Halfweg (Halfway) is also the phase in which the character in the play, performed by Dichi Wit herself, is in her life. The recently formed theater foundation Work in Progress has Dichi Wit under her wings, entirely in accordance with her objectives to provide support to young artists to further develop their talents. At the same time she wants to add exceptional productions to the theatrical life of Curacao.

During the play, Dutch, Papiamentu and English is spoken.

Dichi Wit, who participated several years ago on Curastars, graduated as an actress and theater director at the Amsterdam School of the Arts. By earlier productions, such as Node Jerusalem (2013) and Where does the time (2015), she has shown herself as a quirky actress and theater director.
