Educative project with the Curaçao Filmboard Foundation: The first board of children for Curaçao! This is an initiative of the Missing Chapter Foundation. The Royal Highness, Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands, is the founder and director of the Missing Chapter Foundation. She visited Curaçao to met the 6th graders of the St. Paulus College, who are the official board members of the “Raad van Kinderen”. TUI donated this initiative as a present and to celebrate their 10 year anniversary of doing business in Curaçao The SIFMA Foundation has also been a part of this project and will be representing the Missing Chapter Foundation in the Dutch Caribbean.
The kids investigated tourism on Curaçao and advised a committee of professionals based on the results they’ve gathered from their investigation. This committee exists of very important people in the tourism branche on Curaçao. Like for example directors/CEO’s of TUI, Arkefly, CTB, Chata, Avila Hotel, Curaçao Airport Partners and more.
Caribbean Filmcom was part of this project by producing 5 documentaries, which was directed, filmed and edited by the children themselves. Caribbean Filmcom, 5 professional filmmakers from Curaçao and the Media School Curaçao guided the children to make this possible. This was a great way for these children to not only learn about tourism and investigation, but also about media.
